Life after Idol's a song and dance"I LOVE performing, the spirit of singing, in some way connecting with people. I didn't want it to end with Singapore Idol … " said Mohd Haizad, one of the 30 finalists on the recently-ended MediaCorp competition.

So after a playing small part in MediaCorp Raintree's film The Maid, and with a recording deal in hand, Haizad is set to croon his way through Toy Factory's year-end concert, Spring Singing..The event will be a high-spirited hour-and-a-half of fun, promised Toy Factory, with songs from the 60s to the present.

"Spring Singing is not a musical, nor does it have a plot. It's about the songs, with personal journeys all of us have experienced thinly threaded throughout," said director Jeremiah Choy..

For their solo numbers, the seven cast members chose songs to which they are emotionally attached, he added.

Haizad, for example, will sing Brian McKnight and Justin Timberlake's My Kind of Girl, a song that he said reflected his current preoccupation: "Looking for a (certain) type of girl."

So is the (as advertised) "wholesome, energetic, delicious" all-male cast of seven just a group of pretty boys?
